I checked out the nest today. Too bad the momma bird was sitting on top of it. I scared her away, but I was less than 10 inches from her, so she totally could have taken out an eye. When I looked inside, one baby bird has hatched. ONE Baby Bird! Muah ha ha ha! Thank you The Count from my childhood watching Sesame Street for that little outburst.
Back to the babies. It was all pink and featherless, and looked a little bit like a miniature chicken breast that I have in my freezer right now.
